Make All of Your Photos Shine with Epic Photo Editing Apps

Contents

I’m pretty self-conscious as a person, especially when it comes to my skin, so I admittedly don’t take a lot of selfies. I’m also not really one for photo or video editing in general. But, I was recently talking to a friend over coffee and she was urging me to be more active on my social media. When I admitted why I don’t upload many photos, she gave me a link to this website that lists the best photo editing apps and told me that a lot of them let you edit things like your skin to make everything look a lot more professional and airbrushed.

Best 10 Photo Editing Apps

I had no idea these kinds of tools were even available, so I started trying out a few of these apps and now I can’t seem to stop. I have a backlog of photos I now want to post on my social media, which has never happened to me before.

The three apps that I’ve been enjoying the most are the ones I decided to share with you below, along with a few basic pros and cons so you can easily choose the one you want to try next!

Retouch the Color of Your Image with PhotoDirector

PhotoDirector offers a wide variety of tools that you can use to edit photos to look exactly as you want them to. You can retouch color, adjust the brightness and tone, improve exposure, and even correct the contrast. And, as if that’s not enough, you can also change picture backgrounds and crop out unwanted figures from the image. Plus, there are live photo filters and effects that you can add to your pics to easily frame the perfect shot. Not to mention, you can save your pictures in up to 4K resolution – how awesome is that?!

While PhotoDirector has a wide variety of photo editing tools, you – unfortunately – won’t find image tools specifically designed for applying beauty effects to your selfies. While this was the primary reason I was looking for a new photo editor, this one had so many great tools that I decided to leave it on this list anyway.

Look Good In Every Single Picture with AirBrush

AirBrush has a large number of beauty tools that you can use to improve your appearance in your photos; everything from a blemish remover to a teeth whitener, an eye enhancer, and a body reshaping tool. You also have the ability to edit your selfie in real-time by applying the filters and beauty tools before you even click the button to take the photo. This way, you know you’re taking the best picture possible before it even happens.

The only downside is that, although AirBrush lets you brighten and darken your photos as much as you want, there is no option for applying changes just one area of the photo. You have to edit the entire photo as a whole or leave it as it is.

Get Perfect Skin with LightX Photo Editor & Photo Effects

Something I really enjoy about LightX is that it allows you to simultaneously edit your photos and create new content with tools you can use to change backgrounds, merge photos, and even add color effects. You can also adjust the color and light balance for every photo to make the whole picture look more seamless. Plus, there are selfie tools you can use to remove skin blemishes, make your teeth look whiter, and even change your hair and eye colors.

Just note that, while most users agree that the number of photo editing tools available on the app is incredibly impressive, there have been some comments made by users who have found it difficult to save their progress as they edit their photos. While I can’t personally comment on this as it hasn’t happened to me, it is something that’s been previously stated.

Conclusion

I am so, so happy that my friend turned me on to these apps because they’ve seriously changed the way I think about and approach social media. I’ve been able to expand my social circle and my confidence has totally boosted.

If you’ve been on the market for new photo editors, you seriously need to consider giving at least one of these a try. I hope they bring you happiness as they have for me.
