LG G Flex with 6-inch curved display coming to India in February 2014
When it comes to electronic devices, LG does not need any kind of introduction. Few days back LG showcased a brand new phone LG Flex Smartphone with an innovative design. The phone was shown to the public at a launch event which was held in Delhi. The company officials said that the phone will be available in the market in the month of February, 2014. The main feature that was specially highlighted was its flexible display screen which is able to curve around at any axis and still function flawlessly. The LG G Flex is company’s first flexible Smartphone. When we look at the Korean Version of the phone, we find some additional features like HSPA+ for enhanced 3G as well as 4G support in the phone. The phone is also compatible with USB 3.0 and has the completely new Bluetooth 4.0 in it.
The price tag has not yet pasted by the company on the Smartphone but if we listen to the General Manager of the LG Electronics, Mr. Amit Gujral, the expected price of the Phone will be about Rs. 60,000 to Rs. 65,000.
Specifications
The phone has a display that can be curved to 700mm radius of curvature as well as the P- OLED i.e. Plastic substrate OLED display) which is 6 inch in size. The resolution that the company has provided in the phone is 720p HD. The curved design of the phone is expected to fit perfectly in your pocket and also it will be able to prevent the noise attenuation up to 3 DB when making calls. You will also be able to enjoy wider as well as better viewing angles while you are enjoying videos.
The company has installed a powerful Quad core Snapdragon 800 2.26 GHz processor which is backed by Adreno 330 GPU and 2GB RAM. The internal storage provided by the company in the phone is 32 GB.
The company has also installed 13 MP camera in its new device which is really very good. The lack of optical image stabilization is the only thing that holds it back. The front camera is also decent which is 2.1 MP. The rear key that was present in LG G2 is also present in the new LG G Flex. One more feature that surprised us is its self healing coating present at the back. This self healing coating is able to heal the minor scratches that the phone suffers at the back side automatically. Thus your phone will be free from any king of scratches in the back side thus not harming its looks.
The battery backup of the phone is really very amazing. This main reason behind the superb battery is the 3500mAh battery which is going to last longer than LG G2. The battery that is installed in the phone is also flexible as the phone and thus aiding it. The phone runs on the latest Android 4.2.2 JellyBean operating system and has exiting features like Swing Lock screen, Answer Me, LG Knock On, Slide Aside, Guest Mode etc.
